Winehead has had a friendly and business relationship with the House of Clüsserath-Weiler since 2004. Since then, the Riesling collections, once managed by Helmut Clüsserath and now by his daughter Verena, have convinced us again and again. We have exported the wines to Spain and sold them there to specialist retailers, restaurants/hotels and end consumers. Also in our Wine & Tapas Bar Barceloneta in Dresden's Neustadt, the wines have been inspiring discerning guests from all over the world for years.
Now the cooperation with the development of the Winehead Selection enters a new phase. Together we now offer an extensive, sensorially interesting and high-quality range. The division of labour, on the one hand the specialists for Riesling cultivation and expansion, on the other hand the distribution within the European Union, guarantees the highest quality and widespread enjoyment.
The Clüsserath-Weiler winery has been producing high-quality Rieslings on both sides of the Moselle bank in Trittenheim for over 300 years. With courage - late reading date -, with a sense for the parts of the tradition worth preserving -Helmut, how old are your Moselle barrels?- and biological diversity - the cellar's own yeast strains finally all have a name?-. All this is accompanied by precision craftsmanship and complemented by plenty of experience.
In the world-famous location Trittenheimer Apotheke and its little sister, the Altärchen on the opposite bank of the Moselle, world-class Riesling wines are produced annually for 6 hectares, which cover the entire spectrum, from dry estate wine to Trockenbeerenauslese.
In the Haus an der Brücke, seat of the winery as well as the guest rooms and the cooking school of Verena's husband Raphael Ianniello, the wines can be enjoyed with a direct view of the steep slope of the Trittenheim pharmacy. If you book in advance, you will have the opportunity to enjoy these Rieslings and the impressive surroundings in the coordinated company of Raphael's first-class cuisine.
Our "small terms and conditions"
All our wines are, unless otherwise stated, dry.
On the photos used, the vintages may differ from the vintage of the offered wine.
Vintage changes are part of life, which is no different with wine. So we deliver the following vintage without consultation. This differs appropriately sensorially from more mature vintages. This does not represent a reduction in quality, but requires knowledge and sometimes a little patience.
